DIRECTOR OF JROTC PROGRAMS
The Director oversees the operation of the district's 25 JROTC
programs and represents the Superintendent in coordinating with
various military services and civilian agencies. The department
conducts on an annual basis: an informal evaluation and a formal
inspection at each JROTC unit, four drill meets, four air-rifle matches,
an annual banquet, a Final Review and Awards ceremony, an annual
summer camp, a five day cadet workshop, an instructors’ in-service
and a five day an instructors' workshop.
ADMINISTRATION
The Administration Section assists the Director in the preparation of
the Department budget, monitors the JROTC Activity Fund Account;
and assumes responsibility for gathering and disseminating pertinent
material as relates to the routine functioning of the office.
OPERATIONS
The Operations Section updates and distributes curriculum, reference,
and training material received from higher headquarters. Reviews
and corrects weekly training schedules; assures adherence to the
program curriculum by conducting visits and documenting
discrepancies; assists in planning, coordinating, and conducting,
instructors' in-service, drill meets, rifle matches, Corps Banquet, Final
Review and the Annual Cadet Summer Camp.

LOGISTICS
The Military Property Custodian provides direction and guidance to
HISD's units involving equipment authorization, acquisition, disposal,
and accountability of all United States Government property.
